Essential Oils
I buy essential oils in bulk for my products and I was re-bottling them to offer to my customers at farmers markets and festivals. This became burdensome and took time away from developing new and exciting products to add to my line. After considerable thought, I have partnered with Young Living to be able to share essential oils with my customers. I trust Young Living oils to be genuine and pure, allowing me to sell you the highest quality and best variety of essential oils without compromise.
Aromatic plants have been used since antiquity for pleasure, religious and solemn rituals, and for medicinal purposes. Today, the scientific field of aromatherapy celebrates the same benefits. Essential oils are used for spa treatments and luxury skin care. They are used for holistic botanical medicinal benefits, and they have the ability to set the mood for various important events throughout our lives.
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to treat disease or maintain wellness. I am not a licensed medical practitioner and so I cannot offer advice on the use of essential oils to treat disease; however, there are many ways to use essential oils to maintain wellness and maintain a clean, nontoxic home. Essential oils are extremely concentrated substances derived from plants primarily extracted through careful steam distillation but also through cold pressing. The purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanicals from which they were extracted. Essential oils are not the same as perfume or fragrance oils. Where essential oils are derived from the true plants, perfume oils are artificially created fragrances or contain artificial substances and do not offer the therapeutic benefits that essential oils offer.
The chemical composition and aroma of essential oils can provide valuable psychological and physical therapeutic benefits. These benefits are usually achieved through methods including inhalation, ingestion, and application to the skin. Ingestion of essential oils is a very personal choice and can be deadly if proper precautions and doses are not adhered to. For my family, I choose to not ingest essential oils on a routine basis but do use them for our homemade toothpaste and occasionally in cooking.
